Description
Angelite pendant 03
Angelite is a relatively recent discovery, it was discovered in 1987 in Peru. The name ahnydrite comes from the Greek anhydras–meaning “without water”–a reference to angelite being a gypsum that has completely lost all hydration, becoming a stone that is “without water.” This absence of water lends Angelite a special brilliance, conveying a sense of wisdom and supernatural fullness to the stone, as if it had a divine soul. Its luminosity resembles the human or animal soul: it brings a natural serenity thanks to contact with the invisible world. Angelite is a fine blue stone, with colors ranging from light to dark blue. Its color and connotations have given it the term “celestial” blue. Set in Sterling Silver.
