Spectral Stone will be returning to two Art Festivals in June, The Kalamazoo Institute of Arts Fair and The Covington Art Fair. The festival in Kalamazoo, Michigan is the 74th annual. Meanwhile, the Covington festival in Ft. Wayne, Indiana is in its 33rd consecutive year.
Kalamazoo Institue of Arts Fair
This two-day, juried art show draws 15,000+ visitors to the park. It features 130+ fine artists from across Michigan and the country. They showcase their jaw dropping creations of usable and decorative art to feature, wear and use. You are sure to find something unique shopping the wide selection of fine artists. They work in a variety of mediums and forms.
The Kalamazoo Institute of Arts’ mission is to cultivate the creation and appreciation of the visual arts in West Michigan. We believe the arts are for everyone. They inspire, fulfill, and transform. Founded in 1924, the KIA is a non-profit organization and a cornerstone of the arts and culture community. With a permanent collection of nearly 5,000 works of art, the KIA presents touring and collection exhibitions in 10 galleries. It offers four terms of art classes at the Kirk Newman Art School. It also houses the KIA Gallery Shop, featuring artwork by area artists and international artisans.
Covington Art Fair
The Covington Art Fair is a high quality two-day community event featuring fine arts by over 90 artists. The Fair is located at Covington Plaza, Fort Wayne’s most prestigious shopping plaza. It features high fashion, specialty large shops, gourmet restaurants, a spa and much, much more.
